Yesterday was Day 30. Man, it feels good to have completed this. Honestly...I almost gave up half way through...and almost again at the end. But I mustered through, and I am glad that I did it. When I first put the prompts together, I thought that they would be simple and not too hard to do. But, some of them proved me wrong. I think that pushing through and doing the prompts that were harder for me helped me in getting over the fact that they were hard things for me to write about, and to just do it! So, I hope that you guys liked it...it was fun...but I am glad it's over!
Only 2 more weeks for Summer School! Can I please just brag about myself for one minute? I am horrible at Math but...I am doing so well in this class that I almost can't believe it! I have gotten A's on all the homework, both of the quizzes, and both of the tests! Seriously...I might have to change my major to Math because I am proving to be such a genius! Ok...I am not going to go that far...but I really feel good about myself right now! Only 2 ore weeks...2 more weeks...2 more weeks!

Day 30: 5 of my pet peeves are...
1.) People who drive 55mph in the fast lane. C'mon people! If you can't even go the speed limit...please don't drive in the lanes where those who do are!
2.) When people leave their visors down in the car when they aren't in it. I'm not sure why this drives me crazy...but it does!
3.) People who use the word "epic" Not only is this word super annoying to me, but usually when people use it, they are referring to things that are not epic at all!
4.) Nicholas Cage. Yes, a person is my pet peeve. I just don't appreciate any of the movies that he is doing lately. You might say...what about Gone In 60 Seconds (Like my Best Friend would or my sister-in-law)? I have not brought myself to watch it...But National Treasure, and the new movie of his coming out...not appealing (wow...long rant on Nicholas Cage!)
5.) Mistakes in published works...I found this one when re-reading The Count of Monte Cristo.

Day 29: Keepsakes photo
This photo was taken when I was in high school with one of my Best Friends, Liz when we were on a church house boating trip. I love pictures and how they can remind you of all the emotions and experiences that you have had over the years. This is one of my favorites.

Day 28: The last piece of art I made.
I missed another day! I'm not sad about it! I was just doodling...here's what came out:
Happy Fourth of July!

Day 26: If I had 15 minutes to evacuate my home before it was destroyed, what 10 things would I bring (not including pets or people).
Wow! 10 things is actually a lot...I don't think that I would be able to carry 10 things out the door! But...then again I would have fifteen minutes!
1.) Photo albums/ Pictures
2.) This Teddy Bear that my Meemaw made me when I was born
3.) The ZTA Quilt that my mom made me with all the shirts that I had collected.
4.) A few of my favorite books.
5.) My journals and diaries.
6.) My ipod and earphones
7.) This necklace and earring set that my Meemaw gave me many, many years ago. She got it when she went to the Holy Land, and apparently the gems are from Solomons mine.
I've never worn them...hence why they are still in the baggie
8.) Probably some clothes.
9.) I seem to have run out of important things! But I think this is a good list! If the situation were to arise I'm sure that there are many more things that I would want to add...but these would definitely make the cut!

Day 25: The nicest thing anyone has ever done for me.
When I was younger, I would spend a week or so each summer at my grandma's house. Not being ones for the outdoors, my sister and I would watch some good ol' fashioned VHS tapes...along with a few cousins. Our favorites included Mrs. Doubtfire, Casper, and Hi-Tops. I know that a lot of people haven't had the absolute pleasure of seeing Hi-Tops...but you must! (Disclaimer: probably the only reason why I love it so much is because of the nostalgia). Some people that I have shown it to do not have the heart for it that I do...and some even gave up in the middle of it and couldn't finish the wonderful splendours of it!
A long time ago...we lost the tape! It was devastating...our only copy that had made its home in the nook of our grandmas house for so many years...missing! Then... a few years ago my grandma came down for my birthday. She had a present for me. It was not only a copy of Hi-Tops...but a burned DVD copy! I was so happy that I cried! My grandma knows me so well! It was so nice, and the most thoughtful gift I have ever gotten.

Day 24: Relationships that have had the greatest impact on my life.
There are my friends, and friends, and friends, and friends, and friends.
There are people I've only run into once.
There is my family, and mom and meemaw, and nieces, and sister, and sisters.
There are fictional characters who shape my own life.
There are people I have never met.
There are professors and other teachers who inspire me and encourage me.

Day 23: In the next year I am going to... Check for #18
...be turning 24 years old. Since when did I get so old? I still feel like I am barely...21?...sure.
...graduate from college... this is seriously scary! But I still will probably go back to school for my masters... so maybe it won't be that scary after all!
...move out? Nah...I have it so good at home! I doubt that The House Fairy would follow me to my new place!
Anyways...
Check # 18 off my list!
I was drinking wine with some of my friends (Syrah and Shiraz specifically...I had even brought it with me!) and I was really enjoying it! Then they brought out some Riesling (my previously favorite wine), and it was too sweet for me. So I think that I am able to check this off my list and say that I have officially grown a taste for red wine. Yay me!

Day 22: Life Changing Books That I've Read.
Don't judge this book by the cover...
Image found by google
I got this book from my old cheer advisor when I graduated from high school, and I never wanted to read it because of the way the cover looked. I finally decided to read it years later...and I loved what it had to say. It is about being the Proverbs 31 woman. There are some things in there that are common sense, but it puts it in a way of becoming the woman God wants you to be out of your own love for Christ; not for the purpose of your own selfish intentions. I am not one for cheesy books (or maybe I am...I am ashamed to admit that I have read Twilight), but this one was actually enjoyable; I recommend adding it to your reading list.

Day 21: I Can't believe that I...
... called the cops on someone else's neighbors!
Here's the scene: Kay was house sitting for our pastor...Kristin, myself, and another Kaylin were over to keep her company. We were watching a movie (I forget which one...I want to say something with Johnny Depp, but this was a few years ago)...its dark.... we hear somebody trying to break into the house next door...
We are freaking out! The "burglars" have dark clothes on with hood, and they are trying to open the side door. We call the cops. A few minutes later we look out the front window. There are all these cops combing the neighbor hood...jumping over things...looking incognito. Then we hear..."Drop your tool! Drop your tool!" Other commotion...then we come to find out that these people actually lived there. Oops! But I mean...come on...who would look so suspicious with hoods up trying to get into their own house? After the cops left, we heard them complaining that we called the cops on them. Better safe than sorry I suppose!
This is one of my favorite memories.

Random Finds #8... and Day 19: The First Time I...
...have taken Summer school. Bleh. I am not a fan. I feel like I am back in High School where I have class everyday. It isn't fun. But at least it is only for five weeks...and I have already finished the first week. So really I only have four more weeks... I do have a test on Monday though...and I am not looking forward to it. 4 more weeks...4 more weeks... 4 more weeks...
Do you have a library?
Punks Jump Up almost as good as Justice.
I may need to have these.

Day 18: If I could choose a different time period to live in, it would be...
Ok...so...this post is a little late. It should have been up yesterday...but I was so tired. So missing one day half way through...not too bad...right? Right.
If I could live in any time period it would be...Well...I have some stipulations...Like: Can I bring my flatiron with me? Hmm..I guess that's the only condition I have. I would choose something like the Victorian Era (You know...Pride and Prejudice: Jane Austen style)...but I just can't imagine having to worry about who to marry all the time (if I lived back then and am not married like I am right now at this age...I would be swiftly on my way to spinsterhood!). Then again, I think it would be a lot of fun to live in the 20's too (You know...The Great Gatsby: F. Scott Fitzgerald style). But I am not really one for crime, and I do like to have a drink here and there...so I'm not sure if that would work out either. Hmm...For now I like the time period I live in...but who knows what the future will hold (You know...1984: Georgy Orwell style?)!

Anyways...
Lily and Emma came over for a little bit today...and Emma discovered her reflection! So adorable. She crawled right up to the mirror and bonked her head a few times on the glass trying to go through it. Too Cute!

Day 17: Why Should I Forgive?
“When you hold resentment toward another, you are bound to that person or condition by an emotional link that is stronger than steel. Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link and get free.”
-Catherine Ponder
"To forgive is the highest, most beautiful form of love. In return, you will receive untold peace and happiness.”
-Robert Muller
“Always forgive your enemies - nothing annoys them so much.”
-Oscar Wilde
“When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive”
-Alan Paton
“To be social is to be forgiving”
-Robert Frost

Day 15: Sisters
I have 65 sisters. Not even joking. They are my ZTA sisters, and I love them all so much. Today is my sister squared's birthday. She is the ripe age of 26 ye. I have written about her before...and all those tips still hold true today. We fight about the oddest things...but I suppose that that is what sisters do. I remember one time we were on a family cruise vacation, and we got into a big fight. I can't even remember what it was about, but I remember grabbing my purse... storming out of the cabin and going over to my parents suite. Jamie calls on the phone to the room. She tells me to look at my purse. I accidentally took her purse instead! (An easy mistake since we had identical purses!) It was much funnier than how it seems here. But that was the end of our fight. Too many fights to even write or remember. Now for some embarrassing photos of us when we were younger....Enjoy!
She's hated me since the beginning!
One of these days I will figure out the scanner!

Day 14: Current Fascination
I wouldn't call this a fascination per se....but I would call it an obsession. I am obsessed with this duvet cover. Seriously....obsessed. I just adore the ruffles. The only unfortunate thing is that there are no matching shams. Well...I mean there are, just not in the same color. So I couldn't buy it even if I wanted to. Well even if I wanted to...it seems a little expensive. I think I could find something just as cute for less money. As I was looking around the site, I saw these. Now I am seriously obsessed with them. And this just made me laugh. But at the same time I'm obsessed with it. I just love Matryoshkas!

Day 13: Weird is...
...I find the way that weird is spelled weird. I mean it doesn't follow the rule, "I before E except after C, or when sounding like A as in neighboring way." No wonder it is hard for many to learn English when there are all these exceptions to the rules. Weird is...me blogging about the way weird is spelled! I am such a nerd!
Dinner last night was a success! I made Black Bean and Toasted Corn Tacos. They were really good and simple to make. I didn't put the jarred toasted red peppers on it because I couldn't find it at the market. But, it was still good without it!

Day 12: My Favorite Season... and Random Finds #7
Can I have 2 favorite seasons?
..ok?
They are Fall and Spring. I love the color of the leaves in the Fall, and the color of the flowers in the Spring. Unfortunately, Spring does not last as long as I wish it would. It feels like only a few weeks where the flower fields next to my house stay the beautiful vibrant yellow. I would always mean to stop and take a picture of it...but by the time I have the time..it is over already! The weather starts to warm up in the Spring, and it is so nice to have after the long(?) winter. But that is also why I like fall. After the long summer, it is so nice when it starts to cool down.
Who doesn't have the extra money to buy these?
Maybe this will be the theme of my eventual dinner party.
I would not put a turtle in a crib nor a bathtub.
