For tonight's dinner I made Macaroni and Cheese....from scratch. It was so good! I think I will make this again, and it was pretty easy. I also paired it with asparagus, because I love asparagus! OH! A kitchen first for me...I almost burned it down! I was pulling the dish out of the oven, and when I grabbed the mitts, the receipt from the days purchases flew into the oven! It caught on fire, and I ran to the living room (Luckily, it was only 2 steps away) to get my dad. He didn't think it was as big of a deal as I did (which is odd for my dad!) So, there is a little canjun aroma in the kitchen for a little bit. And, now my dad is making sure that there is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen. (Which we did not have before!) Has this ever happened to any of you...you know, almost burning down the place?
Mother's Day is coming! I would share everything that I am doing for my mom, but she does read this blog so I am going to have to share after. But I can tell you that I am making a Mother's Day Brunch complete with yummy food, and mimosas! I have a gift idea in mind, but could use a little input, what are you getting your mom?

I HEART asparagus too!! Mike & I have been eating it with almost every meal this week :)
We got our mom's the staple bath & body works cause that is what they love. Sorry nothing creative here :)
