I kind of feel bad for my mom that her Birthday is the day after Mother's day (but not really since mine is after Christmas!). I think that it is important to celebrate her Birthday separate from Mother's day since she always celebrates mine separate from Christmas.
Mother's day was really nice. My surprises for her was making "brunch." "Brunch" because it was scheduled until 2, then didn't end up on the table until 3:30...oops. (Sorry no pictures, it took so long to make that it couldn't wait any longer....the food barely made it to the table! ha!) I made a quiche, recipe courtesy of Kay, and a German Pancake (yes, juuuust one). My sister made a cake made with my mom's favorite candy, whoppers. For her present, my sister and I made her a big basket full of stuff: sudoku books, princess pencils, princess ice packs, a candle, tea, pj's, and whoppers.
Today is now my mom's Birthday. I have a problem though. I have an uncontrollable urge to give someone their present right when I get it. So, I suppose procrastination works well for me in this case. Although, I think I should have waited even long to buy my mom's gift, because I just couldn't wait to give it to her, so I gave it to her last night (She never makes me wait either!). So I got her a reusable Starbucks ice cup. She always uses the disposable kind, so I thought it would be more durable. I think I was more excited for her to have it than she was!
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's day, and spoiled your mom's rotten!
